Well it’s been one and a quarter years since I went to World Internet Summit in Sydney March 2006.
This weekend I’m at the Internet Mastery Secrets Conference in Brisbane (my home town).
I got a lot out of World Internet Summit, and I met some great people, that through my video roundup of the event have remembered me when I met them again at this event.
I am also getting a heap of gold nuggets out of Internet Mastery Secrets.
This is because I have 2 software products I currently market online now.
Script Smart – my automated (you don’t need to be a programmer) website script generator toolbox for making your sales letter promotions more profitable simply by using offline techniques that have been in use for 50+ years, brought online.
and
Affiliate Page Pro – my automated (don’t need a programmer) affiliate tools page generator for online product owners that don’t own membership software like Butterfly Marketing and want to boost their profits by providing their affiliates all the necessary promotional tools, and also get them onto your email list to keep in contact with them.
I am going to go over all my notes and there is going to be a heap of changes to both my products and my hosting business.
I can’t wait to show you what I’m going to roll out, and it’s very exciting, since I’m taking what I’ve done to the next level. But I would never be able to do this, if I didn’t put the action in place after I left the World Internet Summit.
I plan on attending at least 1 conference every year to keep me motivated and pick up more tips, it’s truly an amazing feeling.

I thought I’d take the time to post an entry with the Gary Halbert videos that I’ve found to be interesting on youTube. You can sign up for more if you wish http://garyhalbertlive.com/ (the signup was down when I tried but the will probably fix it)
I wish I had had the chance to see Gary Live.
These are in better order than they come out in youTube. Enjoy.

I’ve just finished my external web development contracts to Education Queensland and BHP and after 4 months of slowly chipping away at Script Smart version 2, it’s nearly ready.
Check out the video cast I’ve done regarding this, just ignore the grainy bit in the middle, I think I need a new digital camera.
I’ve got lots of nice surprises coming your way very soon with the launch of version 2 so I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks

I recorded this podcast in May 2006 when I was ramping up for the Script Smart launch and never got around to using it.
Mike Stewart just blogged about this WordPress Plugin called PodPress which allowed me every so easily to get this podcast into this blog post. Thanks Mike, it is an awesome plugin and can’t wait to try a video feed with it. I highly recommend you get this plugin.
What you will learn in this podcast
– What are website scripts and the different types out there
– Get to know about the infamous tell-a-friend scripts
– Get the low-down on the current status of the ever so popular Popups (no they are not dead!)
– How to simply get your customers attention with personalisation (using their name in your web copy)
– How to automatically limit your supply to get people taking immediate action on your offers
– Become aware of SPAM hijacking with your contact form pages (see Script Smart for more info)
– Some words of wisdom about where to find scripts (like HotScripts and ScriptArchive) and how to use them appropriately
Of course you should check out Script Smart, my internet marketers script toolbox, it’ll save you a lot of time and money when you’re ready to start using decent sales based scripts.
Leave me a comment with what you think about my podcast.

After 1 year of working from home doing things on my own time and slowly building my website development and internet marketing business, I’ve decided to take a side step and return to the 9-5.
I hear you say WHY would he do that?
Let me start by saying that with 3 kids, the pressure to keep money flowing in is high, and working from home dealing with small business is not easy and has a lot of hurdles to jump through.
I still work for myself and love it that way, but had to start to move away from dealing with small business. Small business means small jobs which means lots more of them just to bring in a decent income. Chasing the occassional client for money is also not my favourite past time.
Instead I’ve turned my attention to taking on bigger corporate clients with bigger projects that last longer, and they have no problem paying me for the work that I do for them.
While I’m still trading my time for money I want to be earning as much as possible. The big trade off to this is that bigger corporate clients require me to work at their office, not mine.
My internet marketing business is still slowly bubbling along, but it’s taking a bit of a back seat, with me only spending about 1 hour per day on it including weekends. Not enough at all, but it’s better than doing nothing on it.
I anticipate that I’ll only be doing this 9-5 contracting until end of next year. This gives me my buffer of income my life requires while my internet marketing business is growing. There I’ve just publically set myself a goal. This goal has now set me in motion to carry it out.
I will be using this blog as I have been to record my journey, so that I can stay focused and look back in years to come at my achievements.
